In a landmark transaction, Ignite Venture has acquired the Montien Hotel precinct in Silom Bangkok, comprising the Montien Surawong Bangkok, a 500-key heritage property in the heart of Bangkok, Surawong Residences, a 179 key serviced residence, Montien Shopping Mall and car park.
The transaction will enhance Montien Hotel’s 58 years legacy as one of the most beloved and celebrated hotels in Bangkok. Montien, in Thai means a royal house, which alludes to a house that is truly open to all, where the guests feel warmly welcomed and at home.
Ignite Venture is backed by Jade Partners and international investors including Aura Group bringing expertise in capital and asset management as well as hotel operations. As part of the deal, Ignite Venture has secured leasehold rights from The Thai Red Cross Society for the land and buildings spanning a 10-rai plot in the heart of the Silom financial district.
The previous owner of the leasehold, Tantakitt Co., Ltd., will retain a minority stake in Ignite Venture. Ignite Venture is committed to respecting the values and mission of The Thai Red Cross Society, recognizing their significant role in the community, and ensuring that operations align with these principles. The strong ties between the Thai Red Cross Society and the hotel will remain intact despite the change in ownership.
Ignite Venture has entrusted Conduit House with the management of the hotel. This partnership allows for strategic oversight while ensuring that day-to-day operations are handled by experienced professionals dedicated to maintaining the high standards of Montien Hotel.
